About Pablo Picasso
One of the most influential artists of the 20th century, the Spanish-Born painter and sculptor Pablo Picasso impacted generations of artists after him, through his development of Cubism along with Georges Braque. Through his visual language of Cubism, Picasso demonstrated that there was more than one way to represent the world around us through an inherently two dimensional medium such as painting. Picasso’s experimental visual language which departs from the mimetic representation of nature, is considered to be ahead of his time and influenced other artists to experiment and create their own signature stylistic brushwork.
