About the fabrication
Every six months CowParade team selects some new cows that appeared in an event somewhere around the world. Those selected sculptures are added to the herd of collectibles.
Firstly, photographs of selected cows are sent to the design team who carefully model 3D clay statues to ensure every detail is well-presented. The clay models are then used to create a production mold for each cow.
CowParade has now over 500 molds of cow figurines. The molds produce clean, white miniature cows. After a final sand-papering and dusting, the white models are ready for painting. A majority or the cows are, then, carefully hand-painted. Cowparade talented painters copy the original design of the life-sized cows.
After the cows are painted, they need a few days to dry before being placed in a low-temperature oven. Most of the time a lacquer is applied to protect the statues in transit, and so begins our miniature cows global journey on route to their new owners.
