More Ben-day dots technique
Ben-day dots was a technique formerly used in printing to create shades and secondary colors. Different transparent dotted sheets in various primary colors are overlapped and generate energic illusion effects. Lichtenstein excelled in the use of Ben-Day dots technique in many of his Pop Art works, and he contributed to diversifying Pop Art styles. His art draws inspiration from the 20th-century commercial styles and printing processes. He combined comic book imagery with the use of stencils, Ben-day dots technique, and primary colors, to produce something new and accessible to anyone. He finally imposed his own and unique hand-made Pop style art.
