About Keith Haring

Before Keith Haring’s artistic career began, he started painting the subway stations of New York. Keith Haring’s work constantly expressed concepts such as birth, death, sexuality, and war. His work turned to focus on AIDS awareness when he contracted the disease. He also established the Keith Haring Foundation to provide funding and imagery to AIDS organizations and children’s programs. Haring died in 1990, but his art and influence remain legendary throughout the world.
