About Jean-Michel Basquiat Tray Glenn (1984) – Ligne Blanche
This Ligne Blanche Jean-Michel Basquiat Tray Glenn features a well-known painting of the graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat: Glenn (1984). This painting most probably represents a portrait of Glenn O’Brien an East Village art and culture journalist Basquiat knew. Basquiat’s portrait of Glenn doesn’t resemble O’Brien at all, instead, it consists of a large mask featuring a black head with wide open mouth and black and white teeth. The mask is surrounded by dozens of papers arranged in a collage. Many of the surrounded notepad pages have similar masks like visages. It occupies the central part of the Basquiat tray Glenn. Produced by the Limoges-Based company Ligne Blanche, this Basquiat Tray Glenn features the signature “Porcelaine de Limoges” attesting to its high-quality standards.
