About Frida Kahlo
Frida Kahlo’s life oscillated between a rocky relationship with her husband and painter Diego Rivera and had to face with constant health problems. As a matter of fact, she started to paint during her bus accident recovery when she couldn’t move from her bed in the Casa Azul. This isolation had a significant impact on her art and self-portraits. Unless Kahlo “work was associated with many surreal art movements she always denied her bulk of artworks concerned dreams imagery but only her inner life experience.
