This double old-fashioned glass features a pattern adapted from Frank Lloyd Wright’s “The Oak Park Home and Studio”, Oak Park, Illinois, 1889. Made in the USA, this tumbler comes from the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) Frank Lloyd Wright collection.
Frank Lloyd Wright is considered to be one of the most iconic American architects of all time. Wright believed in designing structures that reflected humanity and its environment. He called this philosophy organic architecture, which was best exemplified by Fallingwater, one of the most famous works of American architecture. His innovation was exemplified in many structures including offices, churches, schools, skyscrapers, hotels, and museums. He also designed various pieces of furniture as well as stained glass. Wright was also the author of numerous books and articles and was a popular lecturer in the United States and in Europe.
To this day, Wright is recognized as the greatest American architect of all time. His legacy is one of America “foremost cultural treasures.
