This extraordinary statue pays homage to the timeless work of the Italian High-Renaissance master, Leonardo da Vinci. It beautifully captures the essence of his renowned Portrait of Lisa Gherardini, famously known as the Mona Lisa (1503). Leonardo's Mona Lisa, currently housed at the Musée du Louvre in Paris, stands as the most celebrated portrait in the world and one of the most beloved pieces in the history of art.

According to the esteemed art historian Giorgio Vasari, the subject of the Mona Lisa is believed to be Lisa di Antonio Maria Gherardini, the wife of the wealthy Florentine merchant Francesco del Giocondo. What sets Leonardo's Mona Lisa apart is its understated elegance, devoid of extravagant jewelry or lavish attributes that would typically identify the sitter as an aristocratic woman. Leonardo defied the norms of Renaissance etiquette, empowering the sitter with a self-assured gaze that captivates the viewer.

The Mona Lisa is portrayed seated in a loggia, set against a mysterious and uninhabited landscape. This composition showcases Leonardo's fascination with atmospheric perspective, allowing the viewer to witness his mastery of depth and dimension. His traditional use of sfumato, a technique involving subtle blending and softening of colors, adds a touch of enigma and allure to the painting. Leonardo's innovative approach to capturing depth and his mastery of sfumato have left an indelible mark on the art world, influencing artists for generations to come.

Don't miss the opportunity to own a truly exceptional piece of art history. With only 100 statues available, the Musart Exclusive Statue - Da Vinci Mona Lisa in Red is a testament to Leonardo's genius and a collectible that will be cherished for years to come.

The quintessential “Renaissance man,” Leonardo possessed unequaled talent and imagination. Although Leonardo is famous for painting some of the most iconic artworks; art was but one of his innumerable interests. His unquenchable curiosity is evident in the voluminous notes he interspersed with sketches in his notebooks. He dealt with botany, geology, geography, cartography, zoology, military engineering, anatomy, and aspects of physical science, including hydraulics and mechanics. Da Vinci stated repeatedly that his scientific investigations made him a better painter, and indeed this was the case. His studies in optics provided him with a deeper understanding of perspective, light, and color. As a true artist-scientist, the world considers most of his drawings as artworks. Eventually, the notorious study of the human proportions, in his drawing The Vitruvian Man is one of his most famous masterpieces.
