This Evil Eye cow is the reproduction of the life-size cow statue displayed at the Istambul CowParade exhibit in 2007. The artist Berrin Bul transcribed the good karma faith by using the blue evil eye bead symbol. The Evil Eye bead is a good luck charm that Turkish people believe protects against the Evil Eye. It is a kind of negative energy that even well-intentioned compliments include a dose of envy and resentment. Turks think the envy of others can cause harm, faith in the amulet power is, therefore strong in the region. Thanks to the evil eye, all the bad energy will be directed to the amulet. Many cultures and religions such as the Mexicans or the Africans recognize the concept of the "evil" or envious eye.
Berrin Bul's figurine is now part of the Museum Edition of the CowParade collectible cows. Each figurine always comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and a soft dust bag.
