The design uses a pattern by the Eames’, developed, but not produced in connection with a textile competition at the MoMA (NYC) in 1947. In the year 2000, the Dot Pattern was produced for the first time by the Eames Office in conjunction with Maharam, the textile manufacturer.
Charles and Ray Eames are ranked among the finest American designers of the twentieth century. They are best known for their ground-breaking contributions to architecture, furniture design (the Eames Chair), industrial design and manufacturing, and the photographic arts. The pen comes with one black roller ball refill. Artist’s signature is engraved on the cap band. The pen is presented in a metal box with a black sleeve.
