Design pieces by Wright, the greatest American architect of all time
Frank Lloyd Wright is considered to be one of the most iconic American architects of all time. As the pioneer in developing an architectural style that was organic and American, he believed in designing structures that reflected humanity and its environment.
This organic architecture was best exemplified by Fallingwater, one of the most famous works of American architecture. This weekend home has won numerous awards because of the way it elegantly integrates itself into the landscape, becoming part of the waterfall itself. Its cantilevered engineering was a brilliant addition as well – enabling him to deliver on the space requirements that the client was interested in.
Wright’s innovation was exemplified in many structures including offices, churches, schools, skyscrapers, hotels, and museums and his skills were also used for designing various pieces of furniture as well as stained glass. Wright was also the author of numerous books and articles and was a popular lecturer in the United States and in Europe. To this day, Wright is recognized as the greatest American architect of all time.
